KSO Features
For Students
- Fun, interesting and useful - KSO has teamed with a host of Instructors with a broad range of expertise to offer you a variety of online training and general interest courses.
- Flexible - Students can choose from courses where they can learn entirely at their own pace in their own time, or choose online courses where they become a part of a learning community.
- Convenient - Students never have to travel any further than their PC or laptop.
- Affordable - Courses offered through KSO represent a great educational value.
For Instructors
- Course development - KSO offers all Instructors FREE access to our web-based course development software - KSO Moodle. KSO Moodle offers a variety of educational tools including lecture note postings, links to other materials and websites, forums, quizzes, journals, chat rooms and so much more. Instructors can develop entire courses online or they may choose to use KSO Moodle to augment their classroom instruction. KSO Moodle is web accessible through any Internet connection, and it is easy to learn and use.
- Convenient - Instructors can do the bulk of their course development on their own computer systems, load their material into KSO Moodle, and then edit or revise it at anytime in real time. Or, Instructors can create an entire course directly through KSO Moodle's web-based interface.
- Cost effective - Instructors pay nothing to access and develop their courses in KSO Moodle. KSO charges a percentage of the enrollment fee only when a student has enrolled for a course. So, course development costs absolutely nothing at KSO.
- Adaptive - KSO will add almost any educational category an Instructor deems appropriate. If you don’t see an appropriate category, just contact our Site Administrator. Also, you have our assurance that KSO Moodle will be kept up-to-date with all of the latest features and modules.
- Supportive - At KSO, we will do our very best to address any of your concerns and answer any of your questions regarding KSO Moodle. We are also educators with many years of teaching and training experience, so feel free to ask questions of us and our other users, or to share your ideas and experiences through the KSO News & Forum. There are also supporting documents for Instructors found through the KSO Course Developer's and Instructor's Guide and moodle.org.
